Friday was a big night for Page High School Football. The Varsity team got their first win of the 2024 season against Southwest with the final score of 55-6. But more importantly, it’s Caylon Hann’s first win as Head Coach. Coach Hann is going into his 4th year as a Football coach at Page and this is his first season as head coach. It’s been a rough start for Page, starting off the season with three loses. So, Hann has been waiting on this first win and now that it’s here he says “It’s one of the best feelings in the world.” The Pirates really needed this big win and the freshman stepped up. Freshman Quarterback Za’Mari Williams threw for 3 touchdowns and ran for 3 more. Williams also found Freshman Receiver Zion Malloy twice in the end zone.  Running back Jesse Poole also added another solid game to his so-far impressive freshman season.  Coach Hann is really excited about the “Big 3” as he calls them, and says “They’re going to be great for us in the future.” Page has  another conference game coming up against Ragsdale next week and coach says they will continue to be confident, and carry the things they did into next week. Hann says he will celebrate this accomplishment with his family and then began to get ready for another week 2 win.
