Sophomore attacker Rowen Hild is making history for Page lacrosse this season. Hild became the first sophomore ever in North Carolina boys lacrosse history to score 100 goals in a single season, a milestone only six other players in the state had ever reached before him. Now, his name stands alone in a category no underclassman had ever entered before.
The historic goal came during another dominant performance for Page, where Hild once again showed why he has become one of the most dangerous scorers in the state. Throughout the season, defenses have struggled to slow him down because of his quick release, speed around the crease, and ability to score from almost anywhere on the field.
Reaching 100 goals in a season is already considered one of the hardest accomplishments in high school lacrosse. Doing it as a sophomore makes the achievement even more impressive. While most younger players are still adjusting to varsity competition, Hild has already become one of the top offensive players in North Carolina.
His accomplishment has also helped push Page through a strong season as the team continues competing against some of the best programs in the state. Teammates and coaches have praised Hild not only for his scoring ability, but also for the work he puts in outside of games.
As only the seventh player in North Carolina history to reach the 100-goal mark, Hild has already secured his place in the state record books and with two more high school seasons left to play, his story may only be getting started.
