While students were away for winter break, several noticeable changes took place around Page High School. Renovations reimagine multiple areas in the building, bringing improvements that many students will benefit from this year. One major change is the completion of the trailer demolition. This project will make room for a new outdoor eating area, giving students who enjoy fresh air a new place to eat and relax during lunch. In addition, more demolition has occurred inside the building, including the removal of lockers in the G-wing.
Another exciting update is the construction of a new wrestling room. This addition will provide wrestlers with a modern practice space, allowing them to train more effectively and improve their skills. Overall, Page High School is undergoing many positive changes. Although adjustments can take time, these improvements are being made to better support students. A school that is built to meet students’ needs helps them succeed both academically and in extracurricular activities.
Principal Dr. Erik Naglee says, “We are thrilled to announce that, thanks to the support of many different individuals, we have begun significant renovations to our facility to enhance student learning and safety while fostering a strong sense of belonging. These improvements reflect our commitment to creating inviting, modern spaces that promote pride, strengthen our school community, and support our students’ and staff’s long-term success.”
Page High School sends a special thanks to the following organizations to help with rennovations:
- Thanks to Guilford County Schools and Guilford County voters with the approval of the 2022 Bond, we have started student bathroom renovations, the remodeling of the auditorium and received new roofing and HVAC in the media center.
- Thanks to the Page Athletics Booster Club, we are installing a new fence near the gym to enhance safety and the appearance of our athletic facilities. Additionally, the locker rooms have been refreshed with new paint and upgrades, and the creation of a new Media Room is officially underway!
- Thanks to the Page Alumni and Friends Legacy Foundation fundraiser, we have installed brand-new lighting in G-Wing, started locker removal in G-Wing to improve space, safety, and flow, and removed two mobile units. These are just the beginning of the projects that are being funded by the Page Legacy Fund. Other projects include the student union, new instrument storage in the band room and a new Treasure Island space that will be moved into the interior of the campus which will be located where the mobile units once were.
- A heartfelt thank you to all who have contributed to our Page Alumni and Friends Legacy Foundation fundraiser. So far, we have raised $600,000 of our $1,000,000 goal! We are truly fortunate to have a community that supports Page High School’s vision. We need all the support we can get to make these dreams come true.
