Page Men’s Soccer Kicks Off the Season

The Page Men’s Varsity Soccer team took on the Southwest Guilford Cowboys on September 3^rd in a battle between two of the local public school powerhouses. Southwest entered the contest with a record of 5-0-1 and Page entered at 1-1-0. The game was a close one throughout with Southwest striking first. The Pirates equalized shortly after with a goal by Devin Collins. Southwest came out and scored after halftime to take the lead, 2-1. Diem Fnu scored another equalizer to make the score 2-2, which ended up as the final score. This game followed a tough loss for the Pirates on August 29^th against the defending state champion, Wesleyan Trojans. The Pirates lost 3-1 in a hard fought game during the GUSA High School Showcase.
