During the week of 9/28, the Pirates volleyball team saw some outstanding performances out of senior Hope Ugboro. Through their three games that week, Hope averaged 22 kills. She set a personal record with 33 kills to go along with 2 aces against Mt. Tabor. Their last game of the week was against rivals Grimsley, which is always a big game. Hope said that it was “a really crazy and hype game and it was nice to beat the Whirlies the day after a tough loss to Mt. Tabor.” Hope has helped lead the Pirates to an undefeated 6-0 record in conference and aims to continue her strong play as the season goes on and they make their run towards a state championship.
