The Pirates field hockey team went to the buzzer with a 2-1 win against Audrey Kell on October 29^th. With the lead at the end of the game, the Pirates had to hold off Audrey Kell’s threatening all out attack for the last 10 minutes to pull with a win. When asked about their second round matchup, Kathleen Ellison said “We are ready.” Very simple and to the point, but a lot of confidence is demonstrated in those words. The Pirates will take on Cardinal Gibbons in Raleigh on Tuesday, November 3 and hope to move on to the third round.
