Lady Pirates Season Wrap Up

The Lady Pirates season ended last night, February 25^th, with a loss to Alexander Central in the second round of the playoffs. They were coming off of a big 55-41 win against North Mecklenburg, but were not able to overcome Alexander Central. The Lady Pirates had to make a two and a half hour drive out to Taylorsville for the game, so the Cougars had a big home court advantage. The Lady Pirates had a successful season; finishing 18-9 overall and second in conference play, as well as having Bailey Kargo get selected to the Carolina All-Star Classic. This was the last high school game for seniors Emily Casper and Bailey Kargo. Both of them are sad that their high school careers ended so soon, but are happy with the way the season went overall. The Lady Pirates will have three starters returning next year and hoping for another good season.
