The Pirates men’s tennis team has continued to prove they are one of the best in the state. In their match against #9 Cardinal Gibbons on April 12th, the Pirates came away with an 8-1 win. Despite their obvious success, the Pirates have been downgraded to #2 in the state. Hopefully their win over Cardinal Gibbons will prove they deserve the number one spot. Senior captain Michael Bass says, “it feels great to be  atop team in the state knowing that we have a good chance of winning the state title, but we realize that teams target us and there’s never an easy game.” They certainly have a winning mindset, hopefully they continue their undefeated season.
