The Cross Country teams, expertly coached by Coach Blue are in the midst of a very productive season. Last season, the boys, led by Ian Shanklin, a senior this year, had an undefeated regular season, won their conference, and advanced to Regionals, where they unfortunately were eliminated, despite such a strong season. The girls had a slightly less successful season, highlighted by a third place finish at the conference meet. They were led by Rebecca Hunt, now a junior, who looks to improve this season, along with the rest of the team.

       So far this season, the boys remain undefeated, still led by senior Ian Shanklin. The girls remain in tow of the boys, finishing third at the Guilford County meet. Junior Sophie Hammer says, “That’s the best we’ve done in years!”
