Lady Pirates Continue Fighting Through Tough Season

The Lady Pirates continue to fight hard despite their 4-14 record. This record is partially due to a lack of scoring, with the Lady Pirate’s still working out the kinks on the offensive end. Scoring an average of 30 points per game over the past three games, the pirates are having trouble getting the ball in the hoop. The offensive troubles are outlined in the most recent games against Highpoint Central, Northeast Guilford, and Southeast Guilford.

Despite the team’s trials, Reagan Maynard, a sophomore star standout, leads the team with 11.4 points per game, 1.3 assists per game, and 7.3 rebounds per game. Right behind her we have another sophomore, Alaila Kreuter, with 9 points per game, 0.9 assists per game, and 5.1 rebounds per game.

In the upcoming rivalry game against Grimsley, we hope the team will turn this pattern into a winning streak starting with the Whirlies.
