The Page women’s tennis team had a very strong season! As conference champions, the team won 14 out of 14 conference games and 14 out of 15 total games this season. The team’s first game was against Southwest Guilford. Two days later, the team defeated Ragsdale in an away game. The last game of August was a win against Northwest Guilford. On September 7, Page played Northern Guilford. In our rivalry game against Grimsley, Page won each of the nine matches. The next games were against Southeast Guilford and Southwest Guilford. In the five following games, Page won every match out of the 45 combined matches played. This included another win against Grimsley. On October 6, Page defeated Southeast. An away game was played against Northwest on October 10, and Page won five out of the seven matches.

The women’s tennis conference tournament was on October 14. Western, Southeast, Southwest, Northern, Ragsdale, Northwest, and Grimsley battled Page. Unsurprisingly, the Pirates took first place. In the playoffs against Weddington, a school in Matthews, NC, Page lost each of their six matches. On October 22, five Page tennis players took part in the 4A Midwest Regional Tennis Tournament at UNCG. These players were Audrey Chen, Ann Phillips Eskridge, Molly Holshouser, Anna Schmedes, and Hattie Sloyan. Results from this tournament are coming soon.
