The Carolina Panthers pulled off a huge upset today, beating the Los Angeles Rams 31–28 in a wild game that went back and forth all afternoon.
The Panthers got things started when Matthew Stafford threw two interceptions in the first quarter, including one that Mike Jackson took 48 yards to the house. But the Rams answered with two touchdowns to Davante Adams and went into halftime up 21–17.
In the second half, Bryce Young hit Jalen Coker for a 33 yard touchdown to take the lead back. The Rams jumped ahead again late in the fourth after a Kyren Williams touchdown run, but Young wasn’t done. On a massive fourth and 2, he launched a 43 yard touchdown pass to rookie Tetairoa McMillan to put Carolina up 31–28. Then the defense came up clutch when Derrick Brown sacked Stafford and forced a fumble to seal the game.
