The United States has won gold in both men and women’s hockey in this year’s Olympics. Both games went into overtime against Canada but the US managed to squeak out the win. The Women’s game was played first and the final score was 2-1 and ended with an overtime goal from Megan Keller. After this game Canadian fans were coping and saying that they only cared about the men’s tournament. Luckily the final for the Men was also Canada vs the United States. These teams have some history as last time they played the Canadians booed the US national anthem which led to three separate fights. The Americans struck first in the game scoring an early game but then the Canadians struck back bringing the score 1-1 in overtime. The final goal was scored by Jack Hughes just a few minutes after he got his tooth knocked out he scored the game winner. This was the first time since the miracle on ice that the United States has won gold for Men’s hockey.
