Men’s Soccer Season Ends, 10-11 Record

The men’s varsity soccer team finished their season on November 1 in a championship game against Southwest Guilford. Check out this article for soccer updates prior to September 30, but for information regarding the second half of the season, continue reading!

Unfortunately, Page was defeated by Grimsley on September 30. This was an away game with a final score of 3-0. The Pirates’ next game was on October 5 against Southeast. Page scored two goals while Southeast only scored one. In their game against Southwest, Page’s soccer team lost, but made a comeback in their next game when they played Ragsdale by scoring four goals. On October 14, Page lost to Northwest Guilford. In a close game against Western, Page defeated the Western Guilford Hornets. Our team scored four total goals in this game. For their final three games of the regular season, Page was on a winning streak. Our team defeated Northern, Grimsley, and Southeast Guilford. Their final game was an away game against Southwest Guilford. In this championship game, Page lost by one goal. Overall, the men’s soccer team lost 11 games and won 10. Congratulations to seniors Matthew Maldonado, Charlie Kale, Buom Kpa, Andrew Steinl, James Hathcock, Ethan Besecker, Chuk Khalala, and Josh Keys on their final season!
