A Meet to Win. A Meet to Remember.

A Meet to Win. A Meet to Remember.

Last Wednesday, January 24th, Page Swim team had their last conference meet of the season. The Pirates swam against their rivals the Whirlies in what seemed to be a competitive yet emotional meet. As of Sunday January 21st, the Grimsley community lost a beloved former Whirlie to an unexpected accident. Molly Rotunda was attending UNC Chapel Hill and was so loved by many. Throughout the meet you can see the outpouring support for those who knew and loved her in the crowd. The support from the audience, for those who were swimming that knew her, was remarkable. It also happened to be Grimsley’s senior night which made the night all the more special and important. The Whirlies came out with a win with Grimsley’s girls scoring 194.5 points and their boys scoring 138 points. Page girls scored 91.5 points and the Page boys scored 148 points. The Page family sends their love and prayers to all of Grimsley and especially to the Rotunda family.
