Page Football Preview

The Page football team is coming off from a great 2015 season finishing 13-3 and also making it to the 4AA North Carolina State Championship. However, Page ended up being the runner up, it was still a historical season for Coach Gillespie and the Pirates.

This season, the Pirates are currently on a 5 game winning streak after September 23^rd’s win against #2 East Forsyth. After losing the first game of the season to Davie County, the Pirates have beaten Northern, High Point Central, Ragsdale, Reagen, and now East Forsyth. Notable returning players from last year include Maryland commit RB Javon Leake, and Western Carolina commit QB Will Jones. Will and Javon combined for 56 touchdowns last season, and don’t plan on slowing down this season.
