The Southeast Guilford Falcons and the Page Pirates volley ball teams joined together under the leadership of Senior Rachel May to hold a fundraiser in order to purchase school supplies and sports equipment for students in Vietnam (one of the poorest countries in the world) through Blue Dragon Foundation, a program that rescues kids in crisis. When asked why she decided to organize this fundraiser Rachel said, “I decided to take on this task of organizing a volleyball bake sale fundraiser for Vietnam because I knew it could give others new opportunities in life they wouldn’t have otherwise.to think that some children don’t even have paper and pencil, or will never play with a soccer ball is what drove me to do the fundraiser.’’ They raised a whopping $412.52 for this event.
