Football Preparing for Crucial Last Games

On October 11, the Page Varsity Football Team took on Northwest Guilford. After a rough start to the season, the Pirates came out with a victory. Scoring 28 points, double Northwest’s score, and being the second win of the season, this game was a confidence booster for the athletes and students. Unfortunately, in a high-scoring game against Ragsdale, the football team lost. In this most recent game that was played on October 18, Sophomore Jeiel Melton scored two touchdowns, a major contribution to the team’s 35 points. However, the Ragsdale Tigers scored 45 points. The next game of the season will be at Page’s stadium on October 25 at 7:30 against High Point Central. This is an important game for the Pirates, especially with playoffs rapidly approaching. Page’s final regular season game will be played at home on November 8 against the Grimsley Whirlies in a rivalry match and arguably the most exciting game of the season.
