Park Scholarship Winners

Page High School offers the Park Scholarship to students who apply to be nominated. Seniors, Sydney Ehinger and Ellen Knapp were nominated and will continue the four pillar process (service, character, leadership, and scholarship) to receive a full ride to NC State University. The Park Scholarship includes books, tuition, etc. Ellen Knapp claims to be very excited about the travel programs that are also included. Throughout the year, 35 people are accepted; the group works on community projects and once accepted to NC State, many more service learning projects will take place during all four years they attend the college. Sydney Ehinger states “I really enjoy service projects and leadership; it is a big part of who I am.” Both Sydney and Ellen find the scholarship to be a great opportunity and quite the honor. Although it takes many essays, applications, and interviews to get accepted, the full ride is enough motivation. “If I get this scholarship it would be a great opportunity for me and my future” says Ellen Knapp. Sydney Ehinger shares that she is honored to have been nominated to represent Page as she works to become a Park Scholar.

Scholarships are a great option for students going off to college, you to can apply. There are more scholarship opportunities out there then you think! It is highly recommended to apply today!
