Page Finishes Strong In 4AA Championship Swim Meet

Page High competed in the Metro 4AA Championship swimming meet at the Greensboro Aquatic Center on January 23rd.  There were five schools competing in the meet including Page, Grimsley, Northwest, Ragsdale and High Point Central. Page women placed first with a final total of 379 points, just beating Grimsley by 13 points. Wins from Hannah Copeland in the 200 yard freestyle and from twin sister Mary Grace Copeland in the 100 yard butterfly, as well as the Page girls winning the 200 yard medley relay, helped the lady Pirates pull out the close win. The Page men fell short and placed second behind Grimsley. There were still good wins for the men in the 100 yard breaststroke and in the 200 yard IM by Reid Mikuta. The Pirates held strong the whole season and finished the season with a great performance at the championship meet.
